Privacy Policy

Awzany is a workout tracking app. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. We have tried to keep it specific and free of vague language.

The short version.

We collect the account details you sign up with and the workout data you enter. We use them to run the app and nothing else. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind, we do not sell or share your data, and you can permanently delete your account and all of its data from inside the app at any time.

1. Who we are

Awzany ("we", "us") is an independently developed iOS app. For any privacy question, data request, or complaint, contact us at AwzanySupport@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the information described below.

2. Data we collect

We collect only what the app needs to function. There is no hidden collection.

Category	What it includes	Why we need it
Account information	Your name, email address, password, an optional phone number, and your language preference.	To create your account, identify you at sign-in, and display your profile.
Workout data	Workout templates and their names, exercise names and any notes you write, the weight, repetitions and rest time you record for each set, and your completed workout history including session duration.	This is the core content of the app. It is stored so your workouts persist and your history is available to you.
Session and technical data	Your IP address, basic device and browser-agent information, sign-in times, and session records tied to the device you signed in from.	To keep you signed in securely, to detect and stop abuse such as brute-force sign-in attempts, and to diagnose server errors.

Your password

We never store your password. It is converted into a one-way cryptographic hash (bcrypt) before it is saved, and the original cannot be recovered from it — not by us, and not by anyone who obtained a copy of our database.

Health and fitness data

The workout data above is fitness information that you type in yourself. Awzany does not connect to Apple Health or HealthKit, and does not read any health data from your device, your Apple Watch, or any other source. We only ever see what you enter in the app.

3. What we do not do

No analytics. The app contains no analytics or telemetry software. We do not track which screens you open or how you use the app.
No advertising. There are no ads and no advertising software in the app.
No cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not use advertising identifiers and do not track you across other apps or websites. This is why the app never asks for permission to track you.
No selling or sharing. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
No marketing email. We do not send promotional messages. We use your email address to identify your account and to reply if you contact us for support.

4. How your data is stored and protected

All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
Your account and workout data are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by our infrastructure providers (see section 5).
Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes, as described above.
On your device, sign-in tokens are kept in the iOS Keychain via the system's secure storage, not in ordinary app files.
Access to the production database and servers is restricted to the developer.

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities where we are required to do so.

5. Service providers

We do not share your data with third parties for their own purposes. We do rely on a small number of infrastructure providers that process data strictly on our behalf in order to run the service:

Our hosting and database provider, which runs the Awzany server and stores the database.
Cloudflare, which sits in front of our servers to provide HTTPS, caching, and protection against attacks. Cloudflare processes connection data such as your IP address for these purposes.
Apple, which distributes the app through the App Store. Any data Apple collects in connection with the App Store is governed by Apple's own privacy policy, not this one.

6. International transfers

Our servers and service providers may process and store data in countries other than the one you live in. Where personal data is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the appropriate safeguards offered by our providers, such as standard contractual clauses.

7. Legal bases for processing

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases under the GDPR are:

Performance of a contract — for your account information and workout data, which we need in order to provide the app you signed up for.
Legitimate interests — for session and technical data, which we need to keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, and keep the service working correctly.

8. How long we keep it

Account and workout data: kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, this data is deleted immediately and permanently, as described in section 9.
Session records: deleted when the session expires, when you sign out, or when your account is deleted.
Server logs (which may contain IP addresses): retained only for a short period for security and debugging, then rotated and discarded.

9. Deleting your account and your data

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time, without contacting us: open the Profile tab and choose Delete account.

This is a permanent deletion, not a deactivation. It immediately and irreversibly removes your account record, your name, email and phone number, all of your workout templates, exercises and sets, your entire workout history, and all of your active sign-in sessions. We do not keep a backup copy of a deleted account, and the action cannot be undone.

If you would rather we did it for you, email AwzanySupport@gmail.com from your account's email address and we will delete it.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy of it.
Correct inaccurate data. Your name, email, phone number and workout data can all be edited directly in the app.
Delete your data — available in the app, as described in section 9.
Object to or restrict processing based on our legitimate interests.
Withdraw consent where we rely on it, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any right that is not already available in the app, email AwzanySupport@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you or degrade your service for making a request.

11. Children

Awzany is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Notifications

The app can send you a local notification when a rest timer finishes. These notifications are generated entirely on your device — they are not push notifications, no server is involved, and no data leaves your phone to produce them. You can turn them off at any time in the iOS Settings app.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your personal data, we will give notice in the app before it takes effect.
